well winter conditions for me this time of year consists of sand...endless hills of sand and it is a nice 13c compared to home where it is -12c..methinks I shall stay put for a bit yet

bh, my little trick for converting C to F is as follows . . .

1. 23 x 2 = 46

2. 46 - 4 = 42 (subtract only the first digit)

3. 42 + 32 = 74 degrees F

It's not exact, but is easier to do in your head . . .

A few TLWBF newbies seem to have stuck around. First they had to deal with kilts . . . then with what's under the kilt . . .

I guess those who survived the weirdness have proved to possess the necessarily toughness needed to thrive here.
