Good morning, everyone . . . especially matina and Katy and Alessa and Star in the eastern hemisphere!

matina, hope you enjoy your relaxing day. Am going to take it easy myself, so as to be in top shape for my run of medical appointments and tests starting Saturday.

Ada, yes, Rishi's eye is actually even better than it looks in the photo. I'm going to get a better shot to send to the eye surgeon, to thank her for her great surgery and successful graft.

Katy, 18 degrees up here now, and it's been sunny on and off all morning. But I suspect we'll have a thunderstorm this afternoon.

Star, a few minutes ago I was just out front of the house talking to a guy (with a ginormous truck that loomed over my wall) who was working inside the hatch that leads to all the the underground cables. He says that NBN is surveying the area and is tentatively planning to install a 'mini-node' just up the street from my house! Earliest could be in January or February! The Sydney team of which this guy is a part has been hired by NBN to do checks and tests and they've been put up in a motel in Katoomba. He thinks my speed could easily go up to 50 (from the present 23) if the new node is built.

i tried having a relaxing day then realized mum has turned our pantry cupboard into stash and close cupboard so spent most of the morning cleaning half of that one out.;-( i threw out so many untouched jars of jam) passed their used by date it was criminal and a few beans creamed corn cans & mayonnaise jars etc
It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is to find the used by date on some of these items when it should be the biggest boldest part of the damn label (grrr) i reorganize the cupboards a couple of times a year but it still ends up a mad house.
it is true what they say 2 women cannot live in the same kitchen so now things are in neat rows with the jars about to go off in the front and the longer life ones in the back, i give it a few days and it will be back to how it was
the other half can wait till tomorrow or when im not feeling so sore
katy time for coffee cake and to read my book JG libations after that please and it ihas been a good day considering

I have donated WRZ$ to some newbies that look in need, but never when "asked" only because I remember how some people in this thread helped me out when I was new and looking for some books.

Ugh what a horrible night I had I woke up like 4 times, which beats my earlier record of 3 times last week...first two hours in bed I am so so tired and sleepy and yet I cannot sleep as it’s paining 360 degrees there is like literally no position I could sleep in

So around when Br tweeted I think closed doors I had woken up the second or maybe the 3rd time I think it was 6am my time, I posted and I think and alerted Mattie and Pj and put my phone away so I don’t decide to play games on it since I couldn’t sleep even though my eyes were so so droopy...

Then I think maybe after an hour or so I woke up again, I decided I had enough and put an Ayurvedic pain spray on both my legs and then went to sleep again...the hot and cold effect while it’s working definitely helps feel relief till it’s effective and after that I finally slept...I didn’t even bother to touch my phone as I was so annoyed I sometimes catch one of the morning contests which 13Ice or Br runs when I wake up randomly (no people I am not awake 24 x 7 to play I do sleep ) but when you are so annoyed you can’t even be bothered by that....

JG, I have sent donations to newbies lot of times I see them requesting books I wanted or the authors I read or if they have posted something I read all the time...but I like doing it on my own and not people asking me WRZs for books...for such people couple of times who I felt were genuine I have in fact asked couple of my friends who fulfill book requests to help them instead.

I have been in that place,..I joined Mobi to accumulate more cookbooks and request more of them I also ran out of my WRZs duh, how did I end up in contests...I always encourage people who send such PM to play in contests instead as I don’t distribute WRZs like that....


Ada, Katy or anyone else if you think something is fishy and doubt it please escalate the matter to Merry60 and she will look into it...I have seen instances in the past where same stuff was send to multiple people.

Pj, are you watching the Harry Quebert affair, it’s really nice suspenseful show, it’s set in Maine and it’s scenic beauty... Mattie, I am looking forward to new episode of Discovery of Witches tonight

So so pissed off at the Great British Bake Off, why wasn’t that Rahul eliminated this week! he is so bloody annoying (yes I am not falling for his ignorant crap he is acting dumb) and they send off Manon! Rahul burnt his bread, and his bread was raw unedible but they send of Manon instead just cos her bread was more French instead of Danish! What crap give us a break It’s the bake off so the person who baked well should stay it shouldn’t matter what colour their skin is or which country they came from

The Canadian Bake Off is growing on me but my Fave is still Aussie Bake Off I love Maggie Beer and Matt Moran

It’s a big festival for us today so I am really looking forward to some great food (We didn’t do what we usually do each year as we are in mourning for a year for my Grandpa god rest his soul, so they will be just doing the perfunctory rituals but without celebration.

No Physio today as it’s holiday though not sure I had the strength today to do that anyways I have to go for an X-Ray for my injured area tomorrow so fingers crossed ....

Diva, I really hope you can find some relief from your pain. My brother's wife uses Ayurvedic medicine for her serious eye condition and my brother is still having acupuncture. The Harry Quebert TV series has started streaming here on Stan but I'd never heard of it. I just got the book here at Mobilism, which is set in New Hampshire, and see that the TV series was actually filmed in Quebec. So I'm guessing that the TV script writers switched the action to Maine, perhaps because of Stephen King.

John, did I notice some penguins in the background? Does this mean that I'm getting old?

Star, went out late this afternoon and spotted yet another NBN truck at work on the node. A good sign!

Katy, a rather mild night so no fire. Almost turned on the AC but opened the front and back deck doors instead, and that worked like a charm.

WD... man, I hope you find some solution for your pain. I have a pretty high threshold for pain, basically because as I get older, it's just something I've learned to deal with. Anything you can do to get sleep is worth it for now.

And yeah, one of the perps who asked me for WRZ for a book, I simply sent him a link to the book they wanted... never heard from them again
I've never given WRZ to somebody who asked, but still zero in on newbies every once in a while in the request section, and make their day like people did for me here.
