I've done the test right after a reset, right after I flashed the Axim with Football's A06.
I haven't changed/tweaked any settings before I ran the benchmark.

So far I really like the ROM, except I miss the battery applet and the brightness applet.

The processor is on automatic by default, did you change it to maximum speed?

I haven't, I can bench it again with processor set to max. Thanks for your help.

EDIT: I've changed the processor to max performance and re-ran the benchmark.

File Benchmark: 55.46 points
- Read speed: 2.95 mb/s
- Write speed: 0.76 mb/s
- General operations: 182.41 operations/sec
- Seek: 26118.29 positions/sec

Any idea what can cause this? I ran the benchmark exe file from the SD card and I also have a CF card inserted. I will copy the benchmark file to the main memory and run it from there. I will remove both CF card and SD card.

He did post A08 "Dell Stock" edition here... And also the A08 "Bare Bones" edition has been released a few days ago on his forum.

I think only the A08 "Lenny Edition" is missing at the moment but I'd also love to see a benchmark of either Dell Stock or Bare Bones edition :)

It would be nice to also use the Benchmark inside SKTools...

I plan to test Lenny's A08 over the weekend.

shpitz461: how did you manage to get 881.96 points for the memory?

Results of main memory test in A08 will be same because Lennysh took my tweaked boot.rgu from my A06 rom and include it to his rom,but he wrote nothing about it and now says that he has increased speed of memory.

lol...

not copied... seen what you did. thing is my A09 already had those edits... along with all of the separate module entries for the loading of them into high memory that i can only get to work in a09..and not in a08... i kept trying to add all the entries into a08, but couldn't get them all to go in, and still boot. seen you only added a few lines, so i tried that...

and a09 is too buggy to release in the state that it is running in... gonna prob push it back until its done...

trust me, i give you credit for everything i do. you selling your axim is what inspired me to try to fulfill the fans you left behind. I owe it all to you man! trust, why would i copy/paste, when it's just as easy to add the separate entries anyway. the original boot.rgu that i added them too is the same one from your A03. so of course the rest of it is going to be in the same order...

you get all the credit for starting me up on this device. i also release stuff for two more devices... never thought there were this many people still waiting for an upgrade... sorry for adding them in the same exact order as you happened to add them...

i pulled all my original entries from an HTC Titan/Mogul WM6.1 19213 ROM released by a friend of mine named no2chem.

I'll try to re-arrange them in my next release to put a stop to any confusion...

I tried lennysh's A08 Dell version and Football's A06 version. From the point of starting up, I feel Lennysh's version is faster and I like the menu sounds. Lifehacker, what's your scientific comparison results?

I haven't tested Lenny's and Football's two latest versions. Football's previous version was faster than Lenny's previous one, but who knows, maybe the newest releases changed this.

No clue, all I did was set cpu to max speed and tested. It is the same speed football's A06 came out to be.

I just don't understand why my file system bench is so slow, 0.75MB/s write while yours was 2MB/s+
