shpitz461: how did you manage to get 881.96 points for the memory?

No clue, all I did was set cpu to max speed and tested. It is the same speed football's A06 came out to be.

I just don't understand why my file system bench is so slow, 0.75MB/s write while yours was 2MB/s+

Same is mine... I'm having exactly the same behavior... Slow internal Memory Write, but an high Ram score..
. In a cycle of 5 benchmark I managed to reach in one of these the amazing score of 900. Perhaps the difference is something related to the hardware?
My x51v is HW Rev. A02 ..

Mine is A00. I wonder if I plug the axim to the AC if it will make any difference... I did all my tests on battery.

Hi All!

[Dell Axim X50v] I seek "bin" file extension ROM.
Or find the BIOS chip.
Or looking for an e-mail address of the manufacturer.

Hi!

by now: March 2009, what are the current roms for the x51V?

I've been away from the releases since the time this thread was created. I am using some of the Lenny's roms for a while, but I am not enjoying it, it has lots of things I don't want and a horrible noisy splash screen.

ursoouindio,
I agree. I HATE that stupid noisy splash screen. I went back to L07 and IMO that is the best release.

The noisy splash screen IMO killed Lenny's releases and I will NOT use any future release that has that included.

I haven't activated Lenny's and Football's two latest versions. Football's antecedent adaptation was faster than Lenny's antecedent one, but who knows, maybe the newest releases afflicted this.

I have just bought a X51v Hi end model with Dell BT-309 GPS from Ebay recently, and it still has the stock WM5 ROM A06 version. I have read a few pages about the different firmware versions, but have no idea about which is the most stable and bug free, along with a decent speed increase as I plan to use TomTom v7. My old Mitac Mio 168 is a bit sluggish now when running TT v7, but pretty amazing when you consider it has been doing this for me since May 2005!
