Overview: Gotham Noir is an Elseworlds story that reimagines Batman in a film noir setting. The story takes place in Gotham City in 1949, and is told through the character of James Gordon, portrayed as a tough alcoholic private detective. PTSD suffering war veteran, disgraced, and charged with a crime he did not commit, he will be embroiled in a conspiracy that includes both organized crime and the corrupt office of the mayor. Can the mysterious Batman help him? Will it be an ally or an enemy?
