Congrats opsss(dork) for giving away the non cracked galaxy S european version of swype.

This will not work on other devices than galaxy S because:
S uses ARM cortex A8 (eg. no htc will work because they use snapdragon)
you have not included the licensing information which is, anyway, imei dependant

Why calling him a dork. His release actually contributes a lot to the current (already cracked) Swype. Using Opsss release and the release which can be found here I was able to create a 2.4 Swype version with the Dutch language. Opsss release includes al languages, where the other Swype releases only included a few languages! So Opsss you deserve WRSZ, I just deposited a few ;)

For those who are intrested in making their own version of Swype with their own language:

shroppy wrote:here is what I did to edit the languages. This works on 1.60 and 1.61. this method of editing the languages does not work for 2.4.44, the language selector is disabled...

- for how to sign apk look here
- for editing the language packs look here
- to edit the keyboard, it is just a set of pngs, I just copied the appropriate pngs from the 2.4.44 apk

The language selector will indeed be disabled, but I don't care as I only use one language. The trick is to extract the desired language from Opsss release, then rename it EnglishUS and drop it into the already cracked Swype which can be found here

Well.. the whole point is how to add more than one language I guess. Having any language except english is not that useful.... Especially for Greek people :/ Imagine us trying to browse the web with a greek keyboard...
