ce-enable MT. If you're on Eclair or some custom Donut and don't have multitouch zooming, then maybe this will enable it.

fix map shift issue in China
option to hide zoom buttons
instable on non-rooted devices

How to inst re-sign version:
1. In Titanium Backup, Maps and make a backup.
2. Maps and wipe data, then uninst.
3. Street View and wipe data, then uninst
4. Inst maps5.6.0-ownhere-resign.apk
5. Go to market, and reinst street view.

or ADB

first uninst Maps from /system/app
adb remount
adb push /maps5.6.0-ownhere.apk /system/app

Have u follow complete instruction to use this?
Note that you need root
complete wipe data n uninstall stock google map (many time it req 2-3 time uninstall n again install from market thn uninstall)
remove street map too
then install resign pack

I got it working, although I ended up with two icons of maps,nav,place,lat. can I fix that somehow?

seems there was a hidden permission that needed to be accepted.

no matter what I do, it will not let me sign in with any account. any ideas?

I installed according to the complete instructions. I restarted after fully uninstalling maps and streetview and insured that neither app was on the phone before installing the resign.apk. I installed resign.apk then streetview from the market.

Go to setting - Google map - clear catche n data
do same with market too

i cant see Street View in the market i tried everything

Please explain people wich apk need install after uninstall system Google Maps: Gogle Maps Ownhere resign, or only resign apk (without ownhere) ???
