I like moon + pro from mobilism. It does well with epubs, pdf, and cbz. I have never had issues and it works well on my Samsung Tab 3. A lot depends on what you get used to. If it does things you want/like, it is good. Mobilism keeps me with the he updated version.

there is an app that works for phones Nexus4 ok android 5"phones. quite intuitive as most documentation is chinese ! moonreader pro on the rare times (1 out of 500, there is a problem and it core dumps. Usually on some epubs that are are very big (like 6 books in 1) but then not always. then I use something else until 1 will do it.
I convert anything to epub via ebook converter (from /to any format) took me some tme to find it(icecoldapps.com)
I dislike being tied to one environment like kindle. Books and docs (I work on systems, are with me at all times. I read in the train , metro , bed, week end - so the app has to really be good.

I use Koreader, AlReader and Coolreader. Koreader is the best but can be sketchy a bit on Android, the devs are trying to improve it. Koreader has advance pdf features like cropping and amazing reflowing (including image based pdfs)

I think AlReader is the best, I know it is for me. You can change settings to what suits you best. I use a blue filter at night, because that's my only complaint, I can't seem to get the colors right for night reading. Calibre is good on a PC.

Media365 Reader
All ebook readers have the same feature with often slight changes if at all. I like this one as it will allow you to use a dictionary on your device in the app.

I agree AlReader is the best, you can read just about any format, Actually I haven't had a format it didn't on it. I made a one time $3 (USD) & there are no ads.
