@larry

I am looking at the EA system and found the url but not sure how to pass the variables just yet. If anyone is able to provide me with a way of monitoring the sites accessed during the data download i might be able to do it.

Can't download stuff, Desire S

ro.product.model=HTC Desire S
ro.product.name=htc_saga
ro.product.device=saga

It starts downloads for samsung devices, even though i enter my data.... The game's code is probably different across devices.

I managed to get a working link but like you said, the data is labelled for the i9000

dl.gameloft.com/partners/androidmarket/d.cdn.php?model=htc desire s&device=saga&product=1275&version=1.1.1

Have you tried downloading this data and seeing if it works??

Stupid question i know but you never know.

Nope, my internet sucks big time, that's why i need to download it on my PC in the first place :p Plus, i have a data cap so can't really test. I think what i said is correct, each product code seems to be for a different device, like when i try NOVA 2, it starts the download for the thunderbolt, and Asphalt 6 starts i9100.

The product codes are for the game only, if you check the gameloft store using chrome and then right click on a game image:

gameloft.com/mobile-phones/4899/htc-desire-s-games

and choose inspect element you will see the product code listed in there. for example.

Modern Combat 3 for the Desire S (using the above link)

media01.gameloft.com/products/1275/default/web/android-games/facing/facing.jpg

The product code is quite clearly shown 1275

Those are the graphic-versions I believe...PVRT = PowerVR GPU, ATC = (not sure) Adeno GPU, DXT = (not sure) Tegra GPU, ETC = all other GPUs (Mali-400MP for example).

Also, I believe if you install a game and open if with an offline phone (no 3G or WiFi) it should create the game-folder where you need to place the cache files you download with the link (correct me if I'm wrong).

On a side note, I cant create working links for several games...

Sorry people, been away for a while

First post i will address is the location of game data.

Unfortunately, there is no one place that i can post for the game data as some of the older gameloft games place their data in another location (sdcard/gameloft) to the newer ones (sdcard/android). The best thing i can recommend is to do as CrisR82 said and attempt to download the data through the game first (even if it is just a few kilobytes) as this creates the folder in the correct location.

The PVRT, ETC, ATC, DXT question i am unable to answer however i believe CrisR82 is correct again.
