Version number matches the latest beta version string I just installed yesterday..

The problem with the 'configured for another device' error comes from the original poster posting only the version that his installer downloaded. When you register for beta, you get a link to an installer and not the actual Swype app. The installer app detects your specific android device and downloads the version of Swype for THAT device only. I'd bet that the original poster has a Captivate or some such and posted that version.

For those that are getting the error that its not compatible... I did too and this is what I did.
Take this version and rename it to Swype.apk.

Put it in your root (system/app) after uninstalling Swype with titanium backup and deleting the lib file for swype in system/lib.

Put the new Swype.apk in system/app

Download and Install and run the Swype Installer from
https://beta.swype.com/android/get/
(Must visit from your phone)

You will have to create an account at swype.com. Login to the installer app. Download Swype and install it.
After installation you will have to select Swype as a keyboard. Then generate a new license for it.

Works like a charm... Good luck!!! :) Hope it helps. :)

Does it contain Dutch? Because I downloaded the official beta and it didn't have Dutch language.

*FACEPALM* so basically you registered and downloaded the SWYPE 'BETA' ...

The first part in red above wasn't really needed as you just registered and legitimately downloaded the real BETA and installed it!

I am just going to ignore your comment because people try to help and you are just being an idiot.
According to my cell, I have the same version listed above and swype is not out of BETA yet. They are all betas.

Furthermore, does anyone know how to get the Canadian French QWERTY keyboard? Totally just lost it with this update?

Thanks!!!
