i found the "bug" of the failing .apk files: it was my network share where i install apps from. not sure why exactly, but all those .apk files which were buggy first now run flawless installed from sdcard. guess i need to take a look at my server.

the hvga and wvga854 apk's miss russian and chinese keyboards, since i used the 2.15 keyboard files. wvga has all needed files, since i ripped wvga out of beta...

And to the person who believes there's no legitimate reason to crack Swype, I'll just say that I'm in the official beta but on Gingerbread, I've found that Metamorph no longer works for theming, so the only way I can now theme Swype is to theme the apk, and that can't be done without a cracked version.

The version of Swype I used is 2.29.71.20203 (which is just a few builds newer than the one you have). The only difference between these versions is the languages.

I have a question to Swype masters:

I added Turkish language like everytime, renamed any currently working language to new beta (older beta "15" works with this method") overwrite to a unnecassary language. I mean anylanguage.zdb.le .

Signed and installed but when I select this language via swype I see "Open of xxxxx failed" error.

What I did wrong?

Doesn't work on the OEM HTC EVO as it appears to be blacklisted.

The app will close!

Thank you for your response, and I hope it really is that simple. If you look at the Swype beta March 2011 update announcement, there's one version of the Swype Installer listed (20186) and two versions of Swype listed (20203 and, for "micro" devices, which I didn't really think my Droid was, 20186). The Swype Installer installed version 20186 to my Droid, so I figured that was the only version that would be compatible with my device.

I'm getting ready to try your WVGA854 English-only version to see if it's compatible and I will report back. Thank you again!

can anyone make a hvga german/croatian version??i tried to make it myself like i did with the 2.15 version but it doesnt work,and i cant figure out why!
does the ''procedure'' with language files and renaming still apply to this version or i missed something?

I managed to remove time limit check from apk side, but still there's hard-codded another check inside libSwypeCore.so.
We have to disassemble that swype library if we want it for real.
Sad, i never tried to disassemble a linux library..

well, get hax-ray's ida pro 5.7+
it can disasamble and even decompile arm binaries...
oh, and when you got it, make sure to drop me a copy... its only 1999$ - i need it for some HTC binary files...
