I believe you will only see the cast button on the top of your screen if a casting device is found on your WIFI network, this may explain why it's missing if it is.

Does chromecast (or whatever it's called now) streaming work for you? I only see the icon on my TV - no TVTap stream.

Yes, it works 100%, all the time.

First troubleshooting question is does your chromecast work with any other apps etc on this phone?

Next, if the answer is no, I doubt this app is the issue.

If your answer is yes, my chromecast does work with other apps etc. Then the next question would be why does this one app not work.

After reading your message I had another fiddle with TVTap, I was using MXPlayer as the video player, I changed to GoPlayer and now it's working with chromecast.

Yes, it works 100%, all the time.

I'm glad you got it working.

Casting is an imperfect science. I think it's because many developers don't have a chromecast themselves and can't do proper testing to be sure it's implemented correctly.

Most apps of this variety cast regardless of player chosen because they cast the video before and without ever checking what the internal player is set to. Most apps just bring up a menu with the cast as a choice.

Is this working good for android tv boxes?

No, it doesn't work on ATV devices and indeed Minix isn't an Android TV device, is an android box.

This app is not working for me anymore is there a new version out yet.
or is there any other app that has the shy channels.
