Simplified mod to enable background playback
Enable/Disable background playback via Settings

Preferred Video Quality switch (WiFi/Data) (Settings -> IYTBP Settings)
Enable/Disable Info Cards on videos (Settings -> IYTBP Settings)

With the help of modded microG, Login & Casting works with all features (no ads on external devices not guaranteed)

What's New:
- preferred quality for videos fixed
- battery drain fixed
- random switching to white theme fixed
- sponsorblock buttons getting stuck at the end of videos fixed
- video id not getting set on sponsorblock and copy url button fixed
- swipe controls fixed (however in order to make them work end cards have to be disabled now while swipe controls are on)
Known issues:
- casting still broken on nonroot due to microG, it will need to be patched upstream first or a bypass will need to be found, use stock youtube for now or root vanced (vanced does not block casting ads)
- preferred quality not working on portrait videos (has been an issue since 15.x)

How to install:
1.Download the Youtube & microG
2.Install it as you would normally install any other apk.
3.Enjoy

Mod Info:
- Change back name from "YouTube Vanced" to "Youtube"
- Restored Orginal icons
- Clean res folder, english only.
- Zipalign
- Rebuild from orginal vanced files - config.arm64-v8a & arm - black.apk & dark.apk
- Removed all libs except arm64 & arm (50% less size) [MicroG]

Unfortunately, both armv7a variants (black & dark) are not getting installed on Android 6 as it throws parsing errors.

Well, I am using Google Nexus 5 having Snapdragon 800 SoC. So, x86 architecture won't be of any help. It might be possible that this is a device specific issue but I don't know what it is.

Just to be sure, I tested the other mod shared by RockMods and that installed without any parse error.

Nonetheless, sorry to bother you and appreciate the efforts for all the help.

Installed, no parse error android 6 phone and box tv.
