I also had the problem with "detecting country" every time I started the app. I went into the android system settings and checked the app permissions for Sygic. The storage permission was disabled. I enabled it and now it's working fine.

The only thing I'm wondering about is the Sygic Store "All your licenses" section says that World+Traffic is valid until 29/8/2019 which is in a week from now. The basic world license however shows as lifetime license so I'm hoping it's normal? Since the apk is cracked I assume the World+Traffic license will not expire in 7 days?

But Balatan released Osmand+ and Maps.me too, so i'll may miss 1..2 things, Sygic can do kind of better, but there is way out, at least for me

I can confirm the "newest" version of Adguard(previous version no issue with only https traffic disabled) is the problem! I too had the issue of "detecting country" and once I disabled Adguard for Sygic completely, everything started to work. I do believe the way Adguard is "tunneling" the app now is causing connection issues.

What if I don't have AdGuard on my phone?

Seems like enabling storage permission in the app settings didn't quite fix the issue as I thought... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Now I tried clearing the app cache and data... seems to be working. I hope. Will see...

Edit: It worked only for a little bit but after a couple of minutes of not starting the app it's back again on the detecting country screen... then after closing the app and restarting it, it works. This cracked version seems very unstable... I'll try a different version.

I don't know about this cracked Balatan version. I was talking about original Google Play version and AdGuard (or maybe some other ad blocking software). AdGuard just won't let Sygic work.

I had the same problem , adguard stopped it from downloading the map so I put it off. Then there was the not detecting map issue. Just by chance i restarted the phone and finally it's working for me.

I have updated to 18.2.4 through google play, i'm using original version with payed europa traffic licence, and it still says detecting country.
In the storage permission it was all disabled. After enabling it, it still says detecting country. Wtf

Still many problems with 18.2.X versions. If you don't use MirrorLink, better go back to final version 18.1.4. Only difference with 18.2.X is MirrorLink.

Thanks, it works But it shares GPS coords, a receiver doesn´t get a simple GPS link and can´t copy them so he could paste it for example into google maps. It copies all the message with Google play Sygic link.
