Simple solution:
From the 'bookshelf' page tap the button at the top left 'with the three horizontal lines' then tap Options 'the little gear cog at the bottom left' then tap on 'Use woody background' to un-tick the box. Tap the 'X' at the top right or your back button and job done, no more wooden style bookshelves.

I do not need to clean them up. I say in Mod Lite they are scary. In Patched, they look great.

Yeah I see what you mean now, there's a sort of 'rainbow halo' effect at the top of each shelf and they don't look quite as crisp as in the patched version. I hadn't noticed until I just compared the two but that's the small price you pay for the optimized graphics to reduce the file size of this version by 4.79MB. Personally, I'm more than willing to sacrifice the quality of graphics such as this within the app as it doesn't affect my reading experience but I suppose it's all down to personal preference.

Just use the normal mod if you want everything from patched version just like I have been.

Can anyone confirm if they have brought back font scale? Starting with v4.5 they replaced it "New Font Spacing option instead of Font Scale" which completely ruined new versions of the app for me. I'm wondering if they have brought it back or not. Thanks to anyone who replies.
