Disk4mat, I upgraded to Platinum Double Plus Extra because the team here is doing a bang up job over the visits here and there and it made sense to just go all in.
If I could ask for one thing, from a security point, its been in the media quite a bit now that the RAR libraries (aka those in WinRAR) have been maliciously exploited. This causes RAR files to get auto-blocked by several smart browsers that are trying to keep their users safe. RAR files (used by some otherwise stellar contributors) should probably be put out to pasture till those libraries are overhauled. No one wants this fantastic community to be associated with being a vector for anything negative.

@ssafe05 we already have a lot of requirements for our releasers and enforcing a ban on .rar files would be difficult, though I'll consider it. Perhaps a better strategy would be to convince releasers that users may now stop trusting them if their files are repeatedly (falsely) labeled as malicious due to their use of .rar. I'm also not aware of any browsers that auto-block .rar files, I know Chrome frequently falsely reports .rar archives as malicious (and we write about this in the Premium FAQ) but it doesn't seem to be all the time. Can you comment on this?
