You can ? You 'MUSST' install two / both Versions, because the blue one is not allowed to update the red one or the red the blue ! So chance for (find) dif. between both is real good ?
Based on my tryout its not that easy too, to transfer and import Settings, all single Calendars / Templates / their or set Colours / x / .. from one to the other, without loss or do lots of reconfig or not get back all single Calendars, just get one big one instead.
So i am glad, both Versions are still offered, in case Balatan would stop one, and for me its the 'wrong' one, the far i did tryout this would happen: i would have a lot of hard work to do, to switch over to the only left one. By the way so far i did not found a backup / device Firmware, that was able to do a fully, real fully, without losses on anything backup of that app - on not rooted Tab or Smartphone.
So i prefer the red one.
I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly. I do know that you do NOT need to install both the red and blue versions -- I've had just the red version installed for a long time and it works great, and I've been able to update it by installing more recent red versions on top of previous red versions.
