The previous version worked beautifully on my Streak, but for one glitch.
If I wasn't quick enough to enter the sim-pw, the phone started without
the radio working. (everything worked but the ability to phone/sms/data).
If I stared at the screen during boot, I could manage to log on in time.
Total dealbreaker to me. Uninstalled. I guess this version is the same.

Well, if you guess like that with ev'ry program's update, you'll never have to update anything again, won't you?
Don't you think it might pay off to try it, before you complain about it?

I was merely phishing around a bit, to see if anyone else experienced the same I did.
