its nearly 5 months old give it a miss

Tried installing this.
During install, it wants you to update to the latest version and will not complete the
install until you do (or try to).
Anyway, doesnt work for me.

Have had this great release installed for around 5 months, now its unable to use because its permanently showing "update now"...
is there any dev out there that can update | fix, very popular app. Cheers & many thanks.

This died on my phone with the unstoppable force of update.... but it is still working perfectly on my tablet

On my Android 8 tablet it's the usual "update now" permanently, but just like yours, my Android v5.1 tablet is working fine with it on and no problems. Very strange, but can't explain
