SetCPU does NOT overclock the droid x / d2. It can underclock which supposedly can help maintain battery life. Please see droidxforums.com in the droid hacks section for more info.

I suggest anyone using this app buy the paid version to help support development for the DX. As all DX users development has been slow due to a locked bootloader. So anything helps to speed up progress of a great device. If u like it please buy it.

Works great and so far I have had no issues.
