First install,don't run.througj LP remove lisence manually using 18...,then
Create new apk with removed lisence.
Uninstall app. & find the newly created apk from any file browser(u'll find it on LP folder.).
install the new apk, don't run.
Open LP again & fix 3 permissions
C2dm
Read phone state
Check lisence
Then REBOOOT
&
DOOONE!

this one worked for me, too
..but not after the reboot, i had to uninstall it again and reinstall (the modded apk) before it worked!

Would it be possible for someone to post the patched apk file that they've created using the process that's been described above? If the final apk file isn't machine dependent, that would make things alot easier for those of us (like myself) that are a bit confused by this process of converting/patching the file.

i think that is exactly you wrote - machine dependent. somehow, i'm sure that somebody would do that earlyer.

does not work, even with lucky patcher..says java.i0i. ioexception EBADF bad file number

Got it working by installing LP v1.6.1
Install Rom Toolbox v5.02, do not run. Open LP, click on ROM toolbox, remove license verification, selected pattern, click all 4, apply.
Then click Rom toolbox again, Change permissions, click c2dm, read_phone_state, check_license, apply.
Been working 2 days.....

This process is also not working for me.

nitol's instruction worked for me but after flashing a new rom today, it didn't anymore. mastertech step didn't either. This one must be the hardest to crack. LOL.

Let me uninstall and repeat process to confirm...

cleared app data, uninstalled, deleted folder from sd card.
Re-downloaded apk, and installed, do not open.
Click LP v1.6.1, long press RT v5.02, remove license verification, AUTO. (forgot this line sorry)
Long press RT, remove license ver. select pattern, check all 4, click apply.
Long press RT, change permissions, click c2dm, read phone, check license, click apply (reboot).
Click on Rt in your app drawer, allow root access, and play. I check it a dozen times, and re-booted phone couple.
changed CPU control, boot logo, boot anination. Re-booted, all stayed, changed more, working fine.
