Latest changes in v370

Fixed: Screen rotation on Android tablet
Revised: Font size for data labels
Revised screen rotation code
Added lock screen rotation by pressing Menu button

This does not work with the old UK Landranger and Explorer maps that we all have! I think it considers them unlicenced. When trying to view one of these maps it tries to 'sign on'. :(

EDIT... It DOES WORK - I must have got the copying of licence files wrong. ;)

You need to copy the licence files across

These licences let you have classic map compatability.

Interesting. I did copy the files as per the instructions. It only allowed me to see the old CAA charts, but not the old UK topo maps. Maybe I should try it anew.

Edit... Yup! It works! Thanks for the encouragement. :))

Great post. I have experienced one strangeness though. On my tablet running ICS it all works perfectly. However on my DHD, despite it saying I have a full licence for GPS/Import/Classic Map compatibility, when I try to view a London street map I am asked to sign in. Other OS maps are fine. Not such problem with the tablet. I have tried installing and starting again but just the same. Any thoughts?

The licence files are device specific. (hence the DeviceID folder) so sending them to you would be a waste of time.

I havent (as yet) bothered to look at getting them to work on android.

don't understand! as the supplied .res files work for everyone so are nolonger or not device specific which would suggest it's the app thats cracked to allow them to work which was why in earlier versions you got supplied a .lib file to replace original...

Don;t worry about the res files, they contain the map name (for example the 4 originally supplied only contain stuff like "............G.P.S. .F.e.a.t.u.r.e.s....................."

Thats all.

The 4 Lic files supplied with the original app consist (for example)

000000000400000000000000000000000000000000000000

When you get to any other file the lic file looks like this

000000000D00000089*F********E04
6********************0****2*42
F78*********3**88************32
41D**********A*********5**0

without all the * but 0-9 a-f in there place

You need to crack the lic file.

When you get to the 25k/50k memorymap maps the licence file is further encrypted and looks a total mess and cannot currently be cracked.

@lohtse - that's interesting. Thanks for that. Maybe it's my Xoom that is the exception (rather than my non-working DHD, which I had originally thought). London, Manchester, Coventry, Birmingham A-Zs etc all work fine on the tablet.

@dinky - am I right in thinking that that licence you mention is for the newer qc3 type maps? I neglected to mention that my all A-Z maps are the older qct ones which should be covered by the Classic Map Compatibility licence. Or so I thought...

Appreciate the replies. :)
