I have tried 3 times to install this. Whenever I upgrade from me old 6.010 the 6.030.8320 runs really slowly. Is there a fix for this???

I had a similar situation months ago.

I did fix the problem 100%

Not exactly certain which of the below fix's worked.....but it indeed solved the "slow issue"
1.) I formatted the SD
2.) Replaced a generic card with a Ridata 2GB Pro 150X

2 month later I download Tomtom 6.030, and use FRANCE latest Map i think, but now its asking me to ACTVATE THE MAP

Thousands times its ASKING me to unlock the map and the FRANCE MAP CODE IS AB9H8 DV6TJ,

I really dont know what to do and wanna big help brothers, am lost guys, i need it to travel, please someone help or post me something to help me, i really dont know what to do, i try and read all all the pages of this topic, please helps guys. Thanks for all brothers. Am lost.

You are the man, Trickydave. That install was so damn easy. I tried the other one last night but I didn't have the time to figure it out. I didn't even have to crack the maps with it. So easy. I can't believe they let me download a voice. I guess they don't have the verification that microsoft has. ha.

... I can't believe they let me download a voice....

But anybody can download the free voices anyway.

WOW Thanks a lot for the link/workaround I too have been trying for ages to get TomTom on my hermes with NO joy at all But within 10 mins of your post I have it working like a dream - cant beleive Ive struggled soo much !

PS Mio version 3.2 is an excellent alternative

Can someone please help me Installing the UK Map. I've installed the tomtom, the software runs but I've not been able to activate the map. It either does not allow me to activate the map or when I copy the Great_Britain folder to the roots of the SD it just says no maps found. Do I Replace it with the Guam folder, or delete the guam folder?

I tried the latest 675 maps and every time I used them It lost my favorites ???

But with these maps I get no problems and full post code's

Thats only partial not full UK postcodes. A full postcode is e.g. RG24 9NL
With 6.030 you get Navigate to -> Address ->Postcode
There you can enter full 7 char UK postcode
(This is providing you have a folder called zip with the Great_Britain.postal file in it)
It makes finding address in UK very easy.
UK map without it is crippled.

Glad you're sorted. Now all you have to do is ask someone their postcode. 95% of the time it will get you there.
