I played around with this before going back to 6.03. Nothing wrong with this version as such but the actual build number appears to be lower than the 6.03 version and this 6.1 version also uses the older splash screen upon start up although that may be region specific.

TomTom can't seem to find my devices internal GPS. I have an HP iPaq hw6945. The GPS is on COM 7. Is there anyway to get TomTom to use COM part 7, to configure where it connect to GPS? Thanks in advance.

Your answer was posted on the HP Business support forums. Unfortunately I do not have the link any more but I did save the text from it. You will need to make changes to the registry. (HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE>System>CurrentControlSet>GPS Intermediate Driver -> change the key for IsEnabled from 1 to 0) I use this fix and it works. Once TomTom is launched you will see the GPS applet open in the background.

If you have any other questions about your device try: http://bizforums.itrc.hp.com/
They had all the answers for my iPaq hw6955 (same as the hw6945 just Rogers network)

Thank you so much! That seems to have done the trick! I can finally get TomTom to recognize my iPaq 6945's internal GPS as well as my external GPS unit. :thankyou:

I have a hw6945. After modified the registry as suggested above, I did the soft reset and still getting the error: NO GPS DEVICE found in this TomTom...

What else should I do? thanks

After 2 days of trying to get Tomtom v6.1 to work on HW6945, I gave up. This software can't find GPS. I did all the REGISTRY hack, etc... Tomtom still showing "NO GPS device".

I gave up and installed IGuidance 4.0 and it works beautifully.

Don't install MIOMAP 3.2 on your HW6945, it won't work.

I try to install TTN in a MANGO MAGIC 380, but it gives the following message:
'"Cannot find 'TomTom Navigator' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available"

Same message with both exe's.

Unit runs succesfully D6, MN6, iGO 2006 my way plus

Any ideas???

Uninstalled TomTom 6.03 and copied the 6.1 Navigator folder to SDMMC\Program Files\ - but after starting TomTom, I get the message 'No maps found'

Any way I can get 6.1 to see my maps (I have Western Europe maps in the SDMMC\Western_Europe folder)

I too think this is an earlier version... the file date is Sept 2006 - a whole year earlier than my 6.03 version!
