Thanks :)

You will see the included 5 .cab files that have US/UK voices.
Just copy them to your PPC & install directly from your PPC.

Also for people that have the GPSlim236 ...
Do not use the gps.cab included with other TomTom5's
Uninstall the gps TomTom support from Remove Programs.
You will notice way better performance from your GPSlim!

Yep, let me know if it works for you.

When I remove the gps.cab module I can get a much better
lock and to more satellites at once, also faster warmup time.

What is the latest USA map version?

Can someone also provide the link to individual USA state maps? There was a link somewhere to entier US map and that link download stops after 10 mins. At another forum there was a link to individual state maps, but rapishare says that download is not allowed as they has received some kind of complaint.
I have been asking around on different forums but it seems everyone is busy. Thanks in advance for all the help.

I noticed the date on the cracked .EXE from this archive is older than the one found elsewhere.

so where exactly do the maps go?

I've set all dates to 01/01/2006 - it's what I do with releases ;)

It's the newest update you can get from the official site + the crack,
you can actually do a binary compare on the executables and you'll
find that it's a 2 byte change.

Maps can go on your external storage card (SD, etc)
I make a folder called "TomTom Canada" for example, etc.

Enjoy :)
