Try this:-

Completely uninstall and start again.

1) Install the app from Google Play store
2) Run it then close it. No need to download maps at this stage.
3) Uninstall from your device App Manager.
4) Install Tomtom_Go_Navigation & traffic Patched.
5) Restart your device
6) Run and download map(s)

That's exactly what I did. App starts and downloads some updates and then I'm stuck on "loading app".
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9

I tried this as well in the process:
Find the folder com.tomtom.gplay.navapp in internal storage /Android/OBB and copy it to a safe place.
Uninstall TomTom, clearing cache and data.
Install the patched version but don’t open it yet.
Copy the folder com.tomtom.gplay.navapp that you saved back to internal storage / Android/OBB

The only difference was that no updates were installed and then still stuck att "loading app".

Updated to Android 8 yesterday on my LG g6, after the update the app was unable to connect with traffic information.
Deleted the app but am unable to install the app after removal. If I perform a full removal on stock Android it can install but is stuck on the loading screen.
Seems that it doesn't properly work on Android 8.

mmm i got a replacement S7 now with the newest android updates.
and i can not get tomtom go app back to work now.

i followed the steps discrebes at the start post.

but the app keeps hanging on "Loading app"

When i install and open the official app, i got the message: "to many installs, wait one month for new free KM" have i fucked it up now?

EDIT: finaly got it working after 3 days while typing this message.

my solution: follow the +/-6 steps above +

go to apps, (TomTom)GO > Data > clear data (The left button) not cache, this will be cleared also.
only cach clear did not work.

Also the tomtom icon changed to a little green android, Maybe some security software picked it up

So tried this and it worked http://www.apktron.com/2015/11/tomtom-gps-navigation-traffic-apk-18.html

Can anybody confirm this :?:

- You can download and select any TTS speakers with working preview, but it still speaks only the default speaker while
navigating, no matter which one you choose (in my case Yannick/Germany 58MB and all other voices 1MB)
- The menu lacks the voice commands settings
