Haven't seen the release notes for this version but this version features an overhaul of the map download section.

The map 'up to date' dialogue returns having since last been seen in v1.3.4 (or something).

Also just went to the PO for something and the (destination) mapping is far more accurate in v1.7 than 1.6.1. In 1.6.1 routing it would "arrive" at my destination when I was till 500ft away (around the corner). In 1.7 at the same point it shows the route continuing around the corner, then 300 more ft, then 4 dots signifying the side entrance to the front door.

TomTom Go and Nds. What's the difference?

For me, there are two differences, the screen indications are less fluid, have less detail. Comparing with Go, the route calculation is the same, checked with both, and the other difference is the maps. It is not necessary to download the whole country as in Go, only the part that interests, for example, east, west. According to the region of each country.

Install instruction:
1) Install APK and do not start!
2) Copy file "main.17.com.tomtom.gplay.navapp.nds.obb" to the folder "com.tomtom.gplay.navapp.nds" here: Android/obb/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp.nds
3) Start application

upgrade to 1.5.3 at 1.7 works perfect...great job
