Now the device does not start anymore.
It says (translated) ~ you are not able to use this map on this device... or something like this in hungarian.
It is an XXL IQ Routes Edition
app: V.9.051.503855.2 (1016, 2010.2.27)
map: v835.2448 (Europe_2G)
os: 483784

Please help to solve this problem!

I have exactly the same problem (see here: Post page 10)

Tomtom XL IQ Routes Europe edition
app: V.9.056.542741.2 (update via Tomtom Home, not cracked)
map: Western_Europe V.835.2419 (original map, not cracked too)

I solved it .
Reading more than writing helped again!
You have to patch your device and the map too...
Do not worry just follow these steps:

But I still DO NOT HAVE SPEEDCAMS.
I planned a route and checked in Demo but nothing shows up except for the Gas Stations...
"TomTom Services / TomTom Safety Cameras (raders TomTom) this part is then open"
...
Well, I downloaded a lot of cams from http://www.poiplaza.com and now they appear on the route as a POI. OK.
Also possible to set up a "forecast" POI alert with given distance and sound.
But the "bult-in" speedcam alert does not work for me.
I have to mention that the OV2 file is only 397 bytes what seems not too much.

I am using only one map for whole Western Europe, does the activation work in the same way

-> copy all speed Cams to StorageCard\Wester_Europe
-> use Easyusetools for activation

Yes that is the correct procedure.
It works fine for me with W & CE maps
