Hi Guys
After using my pda for months and having a bit of trouble hearing the commands I tried looking for software to increase the volume on my pda. But no luck.
So then I looked for the loudest voice that I had, but they all sound about the same.
Then I decided on editing the original TomTom Ken Voice and after hours of modification and testing I have created the TomTom Ken +3db and TomTom Tim +3db Voice.

Hope you find it useful

Great. :)

Could you provide the British Tim voice + gain too or let me know which method you used to increase its volume? That's my voice of choice!

Good work!

Wicked! I'm gonna test 'louder' Tim out today. My gf's nan is edging 80 and loves her PPC + TomTom but her lack of hearing is getting the better of her. This'll be PERFECT for her.

I'll give you some wrz$ when I get in tonight!

get a cassette adaptor and plug in to your pda... then you'll have great volume on your car's speakers.

Would you please be able to try doig this to Jane voice for me?

Thanks!

I am also interested.

I have tested this FM transmitter, but then you don't get access to the radio or the CD.

However, by doing this the sound is very good

Cheers

Personally I find the default speaker of my Acer n35 sufficient for hearing the voices but if your speaker is pretty quiet (esp with the radio on) you could look around for a new windscreen suction holder which features an internal 'booster' speaker which is supposed to be much much louder. It'd powered via 12v DC (cig lighter) like your PDA and would charge it at the same time.

FM transmitters are good but unless you invest in a seperate radio in the car you'll be without regular music and radio. :)

If I had more energy I would do the Mandy voice since that is who I use... maybe tomorrow
Thanks for the directions on how to do it though!
