Wondering if anyone could help...I have a china gps (128mb ram + wince 6) and Im trying to load tomtom. I have had one of these devices before which was dropped down the toilet by my daughter so I decided to get another. I have tried at least 4 different versions and each one freezes on the splash screen?? The other one I had was a 64mb one and it worked until I got the memory issue..
I hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance

I loaded on my PNA and it is in Polish. Has anyone had this happen? Can the language be changed?

Hello.
Yes the language can be changed, just change language and then put the new MapSettings on right folder.
Good look.

Presentation:

Sony NV-U70T is a well-built old machine that runs Navigon Mobile NM5 over Windows CE 4.2.

Official upgrades available:

The only available upgrade on Sony’s website is a firmware update that changes NM5 executable file, Nav-u.exe, from 1.01 to 1.05 (both from 2006th year). A final map update, dated of September 30, 2009, has been on sale in DVD format at http://www.sony.eu / store, till one year ago. You can dowload it from rapidshare, posted by PADA II:

Pass is warezbb (type it, not copy/paste).

How to fix it:

The NV-U70T automatically runs the Sony navigation software (Navigon Mobile NM5 from 2006) on startup. We first need to prevent that happening and get access to the CE interface:

1. Install Microsoft Active sync on your PC (or Media Center 6.1 if you are running Vista or Seven).
2. Plug the Sony unit into your PC, via USB.
3. Plug the AC power adapter to the unit (otherwise it will not communicate).
4. In Active sync, once connected, click "Explore".
5. Browse to "Mounted Volume\Sony\Nav-U".
6. Rename the existing "Sony" folder to "Sony_original". If you can’t see it, change Windows Explorer options to “show all files and folders”
7. Now on, you will need just too files:
a).showtaskbar.exe (TaskbarShow.exe) from http://vvstepa.wheelnt.ru/GPS/YandexMap ... andexMaps/
b).NavLib.ini from "Mounted Volume\Sony_original\Nav-U\".
8. Copy them both to the new folder "Mounted Volume\Sony\Nav-U\".
9. Rename showtaskbar.exe as nav-u.exe
10. Unplug from the PC.
11. Restart the unit.
12.You got access to the CE interface on the unit: It´s minimized as a grey line down, just pick left bottom, the Windows Start is there..

Now, You may install TomTom 7.450.9030 http://rapidshare.com/files/389680216/T ... nCE4.2.rar with the last TomTom map (Iberia 885.4058, for instance, from this site). Just copy folder Navigator to “Mounted Volume\”. If flags, countries and voices don’t match, change data.chk by another one, the data.chk is corrupted, I think. Get a map and put the map folder also on “Mounted Volume\”. If you want add voices or add folder "Help".

To get GPS working is quite easy, just tap TomTom icon, tap the screen over the map, “Change preferences”, “Show GPS status”, “Configure”, “Other NMEA GPS receiver”, “GPS baud rate 9600”, “Serial COM for GPS” .

If the sound is too low that’s because NV-U70T starts with the sound on 3 (from 1 to 5 in WinCE), and you must to go to WinCE settings (Windows\control.exe), tap “Volume & Sounds”, deselect “Events” and “Application” (for the annoying tic on tapping) and to adjust the cursor till the max, “Loud”.

To unlock the map we must use the old easyusetool_for_keygenerator based on tt7_keygen.exe, and not the new one. To unlock newest TomTom maps (885.4058 is from February 2012) you must add the meta of the new map, to the old meta.txt of the easytool.
