Very interesting to use your laptop in the car (not too safe - for you and for your laptop, but very fine to see the maps).
I am using SOTI Controller to do the same thing. But this one seems to be a better choice.
Any chance to a Mac version?

I've tried IGo and iGuidance versions of Zoomer on my HP Ipaq PDA with WinCE4.2.

All I could get was an error message "This is not a valid PPC application"

I presume zoomer didn't like my ARM CPU or my Windows version number...

That's beacause it's a software for the PC , not PPC .

I don't know if you could read very well, "beacause" maybe English is your second language...but that's exactly what I was saying: Zoomer did not like my PDA very much!

The real question is who's running a street-by-street navigation software in a PC? How does he/she do it? Holding the laptop above the head while walking? Or using the passenger seat as a stand? Nevertheless IMHO is really stupid to write a PC only application as an appendix to GPS software running mostly in PDAs or PNAs!

There are a lot of car pcs out there. TFT screens in the front with either laptops or desktops at the trunk.

Quite useful if my car pc wasnt stollen... :(

It is your appreciation :(

Me I find stupid to write program of navigation, whereas with charts papers, it is possible, just as easily to go of a point to another. 8)

for a special application, look at here:

Of origin iGO8 functions of 480x272 resolution

With some modifications in the “sys.txt” it is possible to make it function in 800x600.

with this software, you can without modification, to make it function, in any resolution (for me, in 1024x768)
