iGO8 Skin resolution Converter
Requirements: PocketPC/PNA running iGO8
Overview: iGo8 Skin resolution converter

Found this on an Italian forum.
Have not tried it, because i don't understand Italian.
So i don't know if it also works for the new v8.3.x compatible skins
Download Instructions:

For those that can program in Delphi and understand Italian the link to the Sourcecode:

Hi All!

I've tried and works if you have time to debug and correct some mistake that this program generates...

first of all, delete the file data.zip and content of data folder. Than copy the corrected 8.2 data and extract it to data folder as well. The program is in Italian but quiet simple. under x and y you have to write the resolution you want, then click OK, after you can select that you want to create new data.zip or not (radio buttons: "Damni anche il nouvo data.zip da sostiture" = yes, "No grazie, ho gia il data.zip SKiGO" = no). Then click on the big folder icon with SKIN sign, select the skin you want to convert. Then click on Converti button and the procedure begins. After everything finishes you'll see 2 or 3 buttons (depends on your data.zip selection), with the first button you can save your new data.zip, with the second you can save the converted skin and with the third you can save a new sys.txt with proper resolution settings.

I hope this helps... :) I've started to work on the source code but it needs time... :) So please be patient... :)

I tried the program but is just an alpha release and the results is very "buggy" but is useful for reconversion of the bmp-s.

It seems it only converts 320x240 skins, you need to make sure that there is a 320x240 folder in your data.zip and the data folder.

Thanks to my italian friends!
It works but some converted bmps are corrupted (it is necesary to check every converted bmp for too small size about 1 kb) but ui conversion are great!

yes, and is necesary that the skin that you want to covert has at least 320_240 support.
