Hello,

I have an Asus A696 PDA (with WM6) and IGO8.3 software.

I bought a GNS FM9 TMC-Adapter (TrafficBox) for my device, in order to have TMC, because I don't have FM radio on it, but I couldn't manage to make it working with IGO.

In fact in the TMC auto-scanning IGO finds the GNS protocol but it is searching just till the COM-3 port and then it quits...

I made the proposed changes in the sys.txt and system.ini files, but I didn't managed to overcome the problem.

Could anybody help me on this issue please, or advise me if I need to install some additional applications before?

I installed HyperGPS as well, but in test mode it gave me an error that the COM port didn't opened...?! What could be this?

Anyway, this HyperGPS application is supposed to work on PDA/PPC and WM6 as well, or there is another one for such devices?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Sorry if this is a stupid question... would this FM TMC solution work via an external radio tuner, or the tuner MUST be incorporated into the unit?

Thanks

No stupid questions, only stupid answers :)

I think you might struggle, since it's digital data. If all you are using to connect the external radio is a 3.5mm jack i'd say it's out of the question, but if it's a SD card radio or something it could work, depending on its capabilities.

A few people have asked this question before but never got an answer. Is there any way to run it on a CAR indash GPS. I have got one running Win CE, is it possible to run this software on the car in dash GPS. It has got an inbuilt RDS as well. Thanks

Can any one explain the below in layman's terms, I can not get the link thing to work, tried Resco explorer no click that allows items to be linked? on my pc or Resco

1-Copy the HGPS_Switch.exe file from \Program Files\HyperGPS to the navigation application folder.
2-Create a link to the navigation application executable in the same folder.
For example, in your desktop, navigate to your mobile device, find the iGo8.exe file, and with the right mouse button select Create link.
You can do also wiith copy/paste link in Resco explorer
3-Rename the link to NavApp
For example, if you have igo8.exe.lnk rename it to NavApp.lnk (maybe you can't see the .lnk extension but it is there).
