just wanna tell you that it does not work with mio c210/win ce 4.2.

it has old "no map found"-problem.

i have to edit the registry too.

you know that tomtom 6.02 is working on c210 without the "no map found" poblem, if you edit the registry HKEY_LOCAL_Machine/Explorer/Shell Folders "My Documents" to "Storage Card".

why are you creating an "sd-card-installer". it would be much easier if you only provide the files to copy on sd-card.

i think thats the problem of ethan2005.
you have start the tomtom.exe from your desktop computer not from the sd-card.

see you
mike

my problem was that NOT modifying the registration WORKED...
the c220 takes wince 5 and perhaps for that reason, that trick didn't work...
the route of the registration for wince 5 are not always the same one, it is:

HKLM / System / Explorer / Shell Folders

but not even it didn't work this way me, for that reason I have made this executable one...
to my it works me in a same way from FLASH DISK that from SD...
alone it is necessary to go to the windows panel--> POWER--> schemes and to put everything in NEVER, the tomtom is blocked this way never

I heard your partner have the same problem with me then Does he/she fix it ???
Why don't you give us what files do you have in your SD card (without maps is OK)?. I think that must easy for us to test.

Many thanks

Ethan

they are the same ones that I have put here... alone modified .exe is it different from the 6.02 that there are in other forums...
in the forum elportaldeironcatan there are people with your same problem, he/she tells him/her that it is NOT an application been WORTH... it should be or for the ROM or some file of different windows, I don't know it

Excellent work, Bizio! What is the address offset to the "My Documents" string? I need to change it to "SDMMC" for my GPSmile 52+ to run. Thanks!

ok, to see eats up I explain so that you understand my English...
... with UltraEdit I looked for this string...
001c97a0h
it won't surely be same in all the executable ones of tomtom, but the route to look for is one in the one that puts
M.y..Do.c.u.m.e.n.t.s
I have proven to change this string in windowsce 4.2 and it seems that he/she doesn't pay attention .... it is a curious thing

this also works for the myguide 3100 - thanks alot!

but i have a small problem.

when tomtom is running, the taskbar at the bottom of the screen is still visible, meaning the tomtom screen is a bit shorter than it should be and appears a tad squashed. is there a trick to get it running full screen?

i've literally spent the last 2 days wading through these forums and so far have managed to get 'igo my way 2006' and 'tomtom' running on this pna, and this is the only problem i'm struggling to solve...

i hope someone can help me!

Most of us using Mio C220 with ROM version of R06.3.0165.0315 Win CE 5. TomTom will not run on this version for some reason. TomTom up to version 6.02 will work on Mio C310.

So out of luck. I think may be you have a different version of ROM. Did you buy this Mio C220 outside of United States?
I wish I have your high version of ROM.

Miomap routing is very not very good. Currently, this version of ROM on Mio C220 will not able to run a lot of software from what I read. It will not work in iGuidance 4, TomTom 6.02 or Route 66.

I think from what I read it will work on Navigon Mobile (MN6) version 6.2 or 6.51.

I guess I have to buy MN6 instead.

May be we are missing some DLLs. Did you have extran DLLs that you installed? What version of ROM you are using? Is your Mio C220 is running Win CE 5 or Win CE 4.2?

I cannot make nothing else since neither I am a great expert in this matter
