Just installed onto my Mogul the RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.49.651.0_RS_TITAN_3.39.10_SPCS_2.00_AM_PPST_Test update.
In other words, the "test" version of Sprint's WM 6.1 ROM and now TomTom refuses to install.

I mean, I would love to see an error message or something at least, but instead, it just hangs at the installation screen and does nothing whatsoever.

:(

Better is to put the maps in your folder "my documents" (has 2 b in English). Dont know if this works for the voices folder too.

The 6 is last version.

However, Only the some HTC devices (probably Diamond and Raphael) will have a version 7 of the soft.

Not realy...
It's appear the release Tomtom 7 of HTC Damond is a release 6 "renamed" with only one more feature... the compatibility with the last maps.

You need a little trick

Download GPSGATE (http://franson.com/gpsgate/) and put as incoming Port COM2 and 4800 baud
As outgoing port e.g. COM6

After Reset you can now choose COM6: as GPS-Port under "Other NMEA-..."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OR: (free alternative to GPSGate.)

install PortSplitter.
Set the Windows Mobile settings to program: COM8, hardware: COM9 and baud 4800.
In PortSplitter, set input to COM8: (type it in) and output to COM6:. Then ADD the output port by pressing the ADD button.
Check the AUTOSTART function and press START SPLITTER.
This will start automatically whenever you open the application on a later time.

Then start TomTom, set other nmea gps to baudrate 4800 and point at COM6:. That's all.

Do you use the right maps for it? TomTom 6 can't handle maps newer than 680.xxx, 7XX and 8XX is not supported by this version.
