How to install TomTom Navigator 7.450.9028 for PDA and how to activate the maps for TomTom Navigator 7.450.9028 for PDA

1.) Download one of the following files for TomTom Navigator 7.450.9028 for PDA which was extracted by a HTC Diamond

http://rapidshare.com/files/185429371/TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-qvga-black.cab
http://rapidshare.com/files/185429372/TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-qvga-blue.cab
http://rapidshare.com/files/185429373/TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-vga-black.cab

The first two are for the QVGA displays and the last for the VGA displays

2. Put one of the three *.cab files on your external storage card and run the *.cab file --> Now you have installed TomTom Navigator 7.450.9028 for PDA on your pda.

3. Copy the voices (you will find the TomTom Voices in ppcwareyz.org) in the folder voices in your external storage card.

4. Now you need to download the map for TomTom Navigator 7.450.9028 for PDA (I used the Italia Map)

5. Put the folder Italia (whick contains the map) on the root on your external storage card and now you need to activate the map.

6. After the first start of TomTom Navigator 7.450.9028 for PDA you will find on the external storage card a file called ttnavigator.bif which you can open with Pocket Word. In the line DeviceUniqueID you will find the device code which you need for activating the map.

7. Download the KeyGen, which you can download here and uncompress the file. Now you will have the following files and folders

Code: Select allinsert_meta_from_Map_here
meta.txt
RunMe.bat
tt7_keygen.exe
ttshell.dll

8. Put now in the folder insert_meta_from_Map_here the *.meta of your map (in my case Italia-14.meta)

9. Run RunMe.bat and enter the device code of your device which you found in the ttnavigator.bif

10. After this you will find a *.meta and a *.meta.dct in the folder insert_meta_from_Map_here. Copy this two files in the folder of the map and restart TomTom Navigator 7.450.9028 for PDA. The activation is done.

This is only a temporary release. It will exists until the original releaser have repost this. Then this release will be deleted by me.

TomTom 7.450.9028 "out of memory problem" was fixed for PNAs. See http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=275749

Also, did anyone get MapShare to work for 7.450.9028? I remember a few posts before the crash.

Hi Zinbrek,

Thanks to Zinbrek, first of all.

I just now logged in to forum, so couldn't post this link.
M1DUL,
What do you mean "do you put it in the map folder on the SD card"?
If you mean How I do getting updates - yes, I have maps in the ROOT of SD-card (and flash-card!), and navcore8 files in the root too - so I have no trouble with updates - as you can see. Only pity - I can't use these SD-card (and flash-card of course!) in real navigation - they are ONLY to get updates. And to USE updates - just must this procedure - to copy 4 files to my map 8)

Thanks Timothy.
Just installed the blue version on my O2 XDA Mini S PDA and it says it can't find any maps.
I want one for UK-Ireland-Western Europe but I'm not sure which one will work or where to put it
so TomTom finds it.
Can you help please.
Thanks.

You need to put the map on you external storage card :D

All v7 maps will work with this version of TomTom Navigator. Try this one before it will be canceled.

Yes thats what I was asking about copy the four files into the map folder.

to update the Maps do you use TomTom Home 2? if so how do you get it to connect because when I connect my PDA to my Computer Home does not see it at all. Do you now if there is a fix for this? I am using Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 and that connect OK.

Many Thanks for any Help/Information

Hi,

Excellent job! Seems to work fine on my HP Hx4700! Can't seem to use Tomtom HOME to use Mapshare, though (as the earlier version seems to give errors, and V2.3 of HOME doesn't support PDA's)

Any idea of what has to be don't to use Mapshare on PDA's?

Cheers,
