Update: No matter what I did, I couldn't get back my sound! What did I do wrong?
Ain't blaming nobody, as this site has been very good to me and this is the only time I have to resort to a hard re-set, after so many super apps. The only reason I post this is to share my experience installing this application. Thankyou.

the same problem with my device too!!! I am on Touch HD, running WM6.1 ... cannot even make a single call due to complete loss of sound. Be careful!

No, I have not tried it yet. Do you need to update the registry at all? Or just install and reboot?

Sorry, not really, to be honest. However, by using a similar version out there in the net that caused my Touch HD to a total lost of sound that I had to hard reset, it was a real pain to think of doing a second attempt.

Interesting, however, to know that there are several variation within a version on the net. Any other ideas on this one here, dudes?

My 2 cents on this version, as I'd a very bad experience with it, is... "DON'T TOUCH IT!" It's not only me as people on other sites are also experiencing hell with it. A whole lot of people from a lot of other sites! Try SRS WOW HD v1.2.1.0. instead. It works great! For me, anyway. I just hope the Mods. delete this version from this site, before more people have to resort to hard reseting their phones. No offence to Mr.Broad, who has been very generous; and I've gotten some apps., posted by him, that works terrific. No matter how tight the net, some unwanted fish will still manage to pass through.

This version works great on Loox N560 with WM 6.0 ROM; as far as I remember I have read this program is not suitable for 6.1 and 6.5, I suppose most of problems are due to this!!!

Didn't work on my TYTNII either, though after uninstall and soft-reset, the sound was back again. no hard reset.

You dont have to hard reset, when there is no sound after uninstallation.
my solution:
-uninstall v1.5.1.0
-softreset
-install v1.2.1.0
-softreset...

and the sound is back

If works or does not work it will be useful to other readers if you state what WM OS you are using as well.

The cab of version 1.2.10.0 contained also the security certificates the driver requires.
The cab of version 1.5.1.0 does not contain them. Maybe this is the reason so many people had problem with this version.

No, it's not. Even if you install 1.2.10 and then only exchange the driver file itself it doesn't work.
