TomTom 6.020 (7980) works well with Canada-Alaska v650.1112 map and the Eten M700 Glofiish WM5 device ("Other NMEA", AGPS/COM7). Note: This device has built-in AGPS.

Always specify your ppc model and operating system as well, please. Thanks.

Ah, my mistake.

HP rx3115 with WM2003SE, TT6 installed from cab on SD card to PPC. The maps are in root of the SD card.

A friend of mine will soon (i.e. a couple of weeks) receive from TomTom his CD with the new US maps 6.65 for his Go 910 and he might be willing to share them with me. If he does that, can the maps be used on my cracked TomTom 6 straingt out of the box, or do I need to find a way to crack it?

(Of course, if they work, I will share them with you).

Hi all, this is my first post and yes, i'm already in a trouble :x

First downloaded and installed the previous 7910 version WM5 cab and directly after that updated it with this 7980 version. Then i installed latest West Europe Navteq maps and some voices, everything looked fine. Suddenly when i tried to test does the navigation and connection to GPS really work, i turned into problems. My bluetooth wasn't working anymore. When i try to enable it from settings or let TomTom to do it, i always get error BTTrayCE: The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory avaible. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the Bluetooth Radio.

So i tried removing battery pack to get my PDA soft reseted, but that didn't make any difference. This isn't the only problem, now PDA's sounds aren't working as well and actually the TomTom's today plugin hasn't ever worked, it won't do anything if you tap on it :?

Man i have no idea what's going on, all this began after installing TomTom  Could anyone help me?

I'm running on HX4700 with the latest WM5 rom 2.01.

Have others here experienced hang-ups with TomTom6 7980 + Western Europe 1256 with an HTC Hermes (TyTn)?

I had a few right after installing, yet I will do more tests.

Looks better now. It could be that my 2gb MicroSD was 100% full. I deleted some MP3s and it looks better.

Any way, it's good to know it works for you. It means there is a solution :)

@zmanuel

The maps should work fine. If you can get your hands on the US DVD, I'd love to get a California only map. Thanks!

Those having map issues with the new Tomtom saying it can't find the maps...
Make sure you put the map folder in the My Documents folder.

This has changed since 6.00... at least it did for me.
With 6.00 I had the map folders in the install directory (Program Files/Navigator)
With 6.02 I had to move the map folders from there to the My Documents folder. As soon as I did that it started right up.

6.02 starts up WAY faster then 6.00
This is great!

Now to just find the v6.6 US maps ;-)

Prerna, I have some hangs too, a lot less now, but still I have some.

I had a lot more when I had a Kingston 1GB Trabsflash, now I am using a rather faster Sandisk 2GB Transflash, it hangs a lot less...

I tried it more today, and it was ok. 1 hang, which could be solved without restarting. MY SD is also a SanDisk 2gb. It's the first time I experience hangs with TT; yet it is also my first time using such a big map (900+ mb)

No maps found? I had this problem on my PNA with ttn602. Somehow it cannot find the SD card or Storage. The solution is simple. Start regedit and change the HKLM\Explorer\Shell Folders "My Documents"="\My Flash Disk"
You can alse hexedit TomTom Navigator.exe and look for "Explorer\Shell Folders\My Documents" and change that into "Explorer\Shell Folders\TomTom"
Create a string in HKLM\Explorer\Shell Folders called TomTom and point it to your SD card again.

Also if anybody can find an embedded TTS from Loquendo for WINCE
please notice here. Perhaps This will work on the WINCE platform too (just like on the TomTom 910)
Perhaps someoine can check if the \LoquendoTTS directory is used in the code?

ps: I only use "TomTom Navigator.exe", DATA.CHK and one voice. All the other files are not required (not for my widcomm BT)

Cheers
