Hi, is it possible to deduct the $25.00 I paid last year from the lifetime premium rate, which would then come to $60.00? I clicked the Subscribe/Renew link, but my last year's sub doesn't appear on the renewal form. Thank you.

I don't know if this is the correct place to post about this, but over the past few days, any epub format books I've downloaded have been halted by my Chrome browser, with a message saying that they're potentially dangerous files. I found out how to ignore the warnings, allowing me to finish downloading the books. I've checked all of them with anti-virus and malware scans and in every case no malicious files have been found. I only ever download using the Premium membership blue arrows, as I don't trust some of the other sites.
I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, and how it can be rectified?

I have been having the same issue. I think that Chrome is blocking these sites themselves distribute malware. Even though the premium downloads don't have this issue, the site is lumped together.

The only thing that I have found to work around it is to use Firefox. I don't like it as much but it does seem to work.

@alds @accountant1usa In Chrome go to Settings, search for Safe Browsing, and disable it. Or scroll down to Advanced and you will see Safe Browsing there. Chrome returns this error for all files from certain domains, regardless of the content of those files. Recently it's been doing this for all files from the Premium Downloader despite them being safe.

Just be careful when opening anything even epubs ive had 2 epubs to date with malware inside the epub archive.. we know what to do with those after the antivirus has done its bit.

Did you report those files? I would like to take a look. It is theoretically possible for an epub to have something malicious, but in my over ten years here I have never seen one posted.

I have never seen an epub with malware inside. Or virus, or anything malicious. Can you please send me those 2 epubs so I can check them out? What I can tell you is that every time I have had to check a supposedly dangerous file, allegedly containing viruses or malware, it always turned out to be a false positive on the browser/anti-virus side. I am not saying it is not possible, only that it has never happened, not even once.

I think on the whole there's no reason for anyone to panic we all have decent anti virus on our computers these days.

The file in question is clean according to over 30 antiviruses: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/ca5f1 ... /detection
