Usually the folder with all the files should be on the Storage first tree branch. It won't go to sub-folder (that's my experience with TomTom5)

Try putting all your unzipped map folders straight in \Storage Card\.

For example: \Storage Card\Western_Europe\
or: \Storage Card\France_Plus\
etc.

Don't put maps in subfolders like \gps\TT6.03.8320\ as TomTom only "sees" maps located directly under \Storage Card\.

@flymaster99xxl
with some devices (win CE like PNA), TT6 don't see the maps in storage card, but search it in "My Documents" or in "Flash Disk".
for example, You must change in registry HKLM\Explorer\Shell Folders\My Documents the value "My Documents" and Put "Storage Card\My Documents" value.
Before that, replace guam map in My Documents to test it ; or in others folders...
It works like that on my WinCE Device.

Tomtom Navigator v6.201.7160
App: Tomtom Navigator v6.201.7160
Overview: map app with routing.
Release info:
Taken from an asus pna device, the 6.2xx build can read older maps.
If you move from v6.03 to 6.2xxx or rather from any version to 6.03 and from 6.03 to any version you need to delete the mapsettings file and currentmap.dat files. Otherwise the program f..cks up.

Heres the original package (delete the .cfg file unless u like the chinese interface)

Yes, you need to unzip them...

To all geniuses of this forum:
In TT6.200 and 6.201 the default font is Chinese3.ttf. For those that don't want a Chinese interface, we replace the font with an empty Chinese3.ttf file. TomTom picks up (from somewhere) a Latin font that, in my opinion. is rather ugly. Is there a way to force TomTom to use a nicer looking font, say Tahoma?
The second question is the following. Can I force the orientation from landscape to portrait (I am usind a h..cked Mio C310x). There were numerous discussions on this topic but I don't seem to find the threads.
I think that if I use the 3D mode it is desirable to see what lies ahead of me and not what is on the left and the right. This is particularly true for TonTom where the bottom of the screen is filled with navigational information, reducing even further the hight of the visible map.
Any comments will be appreciated.

Hi,
I upgrade my HT 3600 with TT6 from 6.10 to 6.200.7230, all works fine.

Only one thing is strange, the remaining distance is displayed on the same line(when kms):
1.4 kil...

instead of:
1.4
Kms

Any idea ?

Thanks

Hello,

To illustrate my last post:

- with TT6 6.010.xxxx, 6.030.xxxx, 6.100.xxxx
Image

- with TT6 6.200.xxxx, 6.201.xxxx
Image

Do you have some idea why this happens ? Is this a configuration problem ?

Thanks.

Looks as though the 2nd one maybe designed for landscape layout and hence doesn't fit too well.

You hve to modify the settings - choose what you want to see

I modified the settings but nothing change, I have the impression that it is a version for tomtom go, designed only for landscape layout.
