Have you tried the orginal app to see if your "app in background" issue is with the mod or orginal. The toast message or popup as you call it is giving credit to the person who modified it and the orginal place to download the mod.

Yes, you're right. Installed the original app and acts the same (works in the background), only without a popup (toast message). Thanks for the tip. Credits to NxtLvLTech and to the uploader, Spydog.
