Why does socks 5 does not changes ip address?

I do not know, how you are doing it, here is how I have done the configuration:

AdGuard VPN Settings -> Advanced settings ->SOCKS5
AdGuard adblocker app -> Settings ->Network ->Proxy
Create a new proxy with an IP add 127.0.0.1, port 1080, type SOCKS5
Turn on the new proxy you just created
Finally, turn on the protection switch on the main screen Adguard app.

Now, check the IP address, should be now of the virtual location you have selected under Adguard VPN app.
