I hope so, as it is only working for Android 8.0 and higher. A stupid move, locking out many, MANY users of this useful app.
Hopefully the older versions will still work when they go 'final' with this V5 thing.

.
Older version should keep working.
I don't understand why people expect developers to keep supporting os versions that are no longer being supported anyway. Android 8 was released in 2017, the majority of users is running later versions, a small group can keep using the old app, what's the problem.
If you want the latest and the greatest buy it instead of expecting it to keep up with your old device.

It is off topic, but:
I prefer to utilize my purchased goods as long as possible, for reasons of frugality, of sustainability, because they DO work and fit like worn shoes -why replace them? Because they are out of fashion??
My Mercedes was built in 2001, my stereo system is a YAMAHA HiFi set from the 1970s, my jeans are 15years old (and still fit). I still drink out of beer mugs stolen at the Munich Oktoberfest in 1985.. and never broke one of them.
I fail to accept that modern times make hardware (and software) obsolete by timers, by shady, greedy goals. Think Gates and his debacle with Windows. Try opening a important, but old MS Access database from the 1990s today.. (I can!).

The Android devices I own (so far EIGHT) run on Android versions 2.3 up to 9.0, a variety is at level 4 and 5.
I will continue to use them for their dedicated purposes as long as possible, see no need to replace them with pricy new hardware I do not want nor need, but could afford. I am happy that many developers do honor old operating systems, keep the build packs compatible with Android 4.x - hat off to these.
If I am not mistaken Statista shows that almost 35% of Android users today are BELOW level 8.0 - so ignore them, force them to throw away their tablets, phones, TV boxes etc.?

I fail to see why one cannot maintain software functional for older versions. When I was a professional software developer I always ensured that my corporate applications would work on ANY desktop and O/S revision. Sometimes it was tricky, but never impossible. My customers were happy, my stuff was used for many years, even after I retired at age 45.
An adblocker is not rocket science, I doubt that Android 8 is needed to keep it functional.
Peace.

Nobody's forcing anyone to upgrade, don't do drama.
You can keep using the old version and your old jeans.

Try to refuel your old Benz with electricity in the near future, good luck.

It's open source freeware. Consider donating the developer if you'd like him to retire early too.
Peace.
