I'm tired of screwing with the bullshit in 6.03
This one has a higher build anyway, so it would stand to reason this is slightly newer.

I extracted the rar files and paste the files in the root of my SD ( data.chk, guam_650 and navigator) ... what should I do now?

v6.030 is a official tomtom application, the others such as tomtom 6.100 are applications ment for taiwan, china etc......and not official tomtom releases.

I am under the impression that 6.100 is an official build, made specifically for WM5 devices.

Reguardless, 6.03 has a serious glitch in it that I can't overlook (sound bug).

Is it possible to just extract the .exe and .chk files from this 6.1 release and overwrite them in an existing 6.03 installation?

But only on few specific devices. I know personally of at least 6 guys with this rev on various PDAs etc and they're all working fine.

That is the only way any way since the original is extracted from the rom. Just write over with the crack ppc exe and the chk file (they must be paired) and done. I would recommend writing over 6.030.

Just a word of caution for UK & Netherlanders.
The TomTom was originally set up to accept the standard 5 digit European postcode into the address box.
The UK and The Netherlands use longer codes, so they have their own special input method which is NOT in this version.
