Amazing Grace
Jessica Fletcher meets Aunt Bea meets Odd Thomas in this Southern Gothic Paranormal Mystery with a dose of romance from award-winning novelist John G. Hartness. Lila Grace Carter is your favorite new detective, you just don’t know it yet. She’s determined, smart, caring, and sassy as the day is long. She also talks to dead people. Of course, as she puts it, “I’m Southern. We all talk to dead people down here. The difference is, they talk back to me.” Lila Grace has lived in Lockhart, S.C. her entire life, and has always been shunned for being different. Discovering her ability to see and talk to ghosts at an early age, she used her ability to help people settle disputes, communicate with lost loved one, and generally make life better in small ways. Until poor dead Jenny Miller showed up on her doorstep. Now Lila Grace has a teenaged ghost following her around, a handsome new sheriff in town, and a murderer in her sleepy southern town. This ain’t Mayberry, kids.

Red Dirt Boy
Red Dirt Boy is a collection of Southern-fried, beer-soaked poetry with a tent revival flair. John Hartness draws on years of living in the rural south to share the laughter, tears, heartaches and fears of living, loving and drinking in the modern American South. Hartness vacillates between the profane and the profound in this collection, tackling cancer, drug abuse, strippers and young love with equal parts pathos and humor. Red Dirt Boy is recommended for anyone with a love of Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, moonshine and fried chicken.

The Chosen
What do you get when you mix a couple of immortals, a snotty archangel, the Father of Lies, a redneck street preacher and a couple of wiseass waitresses from Texas? You get a cross-country road trip to save the world, of course! Adam (yeah THAT Adam) has been around for a long time, but even he's never seen anything like this. He has to gather his ex-girlfriend and his youngest daughter with his ex-wife (you remember Eve, right?) and his oldest surviving son (Cain) and get them across the country for a meeting with Archangel Michael and Lucifer to determine the fate of the world. Along the way there are strip clubs, cheap beer, expensive whiskey, biker bar fights, shotgun blasts in motel parking lots, sing-alongs in public parks and other wild adventures as our group of intrepid immortals and universal icons travel to save the world. The Chosen is the first novel from award-winning poet John G. Hartness. A wild comic ride through biblical genre-bending, The Chosen is as funny as it is probing. With characters pulled from the pages of the Bible and from everyday life, The Chosen takes a hard look at what happens when the divine becomes the everyday.

Fireheart
Rachel doesn't know what's weirder - that there's a dragon in the woods by her school, or that Scott Morrison actually thinks she's beautiful. Or maybe it's the elves. Yeah, it's totally the elves. It was an ordinary weekday for Rachel Hampton. You know, like every day - you wreck your bike on the way to school because the gorgeous queen snot of the universe slams on the brakes of her spanky little convertible right in front of you, so you swerve to miss her and get run over by Scott "Oh My God" Morrison who is so nice and so cute and so out of your league. Then there's dodgeball in gym, which not even getting in a bike v. car argument earlier in the day will get you out of, because your gym teacher is a sadist, and of course then you hear the explosions, because no matter how much you scream at your geologist father, he can't stop the mining company he works for from blowing the top off a nearby mountain and destroying the environment, but it's West Virginia, so it's not like explosions are a new thing around here. But then the dragon wakes up. And everything gets really, really weird.

Fair Play
Herman Walker Jones is a lion. He stalks his prey, culls it from the herd, and takes it down. He is the king of his Memphis jungle, or is he? Herman might have selected the wrong prey this time, because he's about to learn that turnabout really is Fair Play.
