2. The Witch-Mage Awakens - Three new cases, three mysteries, and three potential friends trying to find their places on the team.
Thea has made it to Apprentice and is exploring where her magic can take her when an outbreak of mysterious magical attacks sweeps NOLA.
Bodies are piling up and strange dreams are the only thing connecting the bizarre deaths, a group of people thought to be members of a dark cult have gone missing, and a powerful cursed object seems to be responsible for a rash of violent crimes plaguing the city.
Can Thea’s nascent abilities be the key to unraveling all three cases?
That will depend on whether her team can work together instead of getting in each other’s way.
Thea makes a breakthrough when she makes it her business to help a teammate deal with his personal problems. Her effort earns his loyalty and the protection of another teammate who appreciates her willingness to go the extra mile for someone in need.
Even a Blackwood needs backup from time to time.
3. Witch-Mage Liberation - Thea finally has the respect from the Coven that comes with living up to the Blackwood name…
…but the undead haven’t received the message that she is no one to mess with.
Dark magic wreaths New Orleans and Thea isn’t immune to its effects. Worse, the Coven witnesses her loss of control, and her boss at AID is asking questions of Thea’s friends and teammates.

4. Witch-Mage Uprising - Things have been quiet in NOLA… Too quiet.
The Coven had thankfully gone back to shunning Thea after the Silas debacle. Unfortunately, the brutal murders of several hedge witches leaves everyone involved with no option.
They must present a united front—with Thea as the liaison between AID and the Coven.
Thea finds motivation in the form of wanting to relieve Jax of the guilt he feels for mentoring the victims.
The investigation opens doors within the Coven for Thea. However distasteful she finds the skeletons in the Coven’s closets, the knowledge she gains could be just what she needs to get to the bottom of the mystery before it’s too late for the unaffiliated witches in the city.
Early leads point to a literal witch hunt. Keeping the peace as tensions rise in the magical community is not conducive to getting the answers every side is demanding.
Solving the murders can’t be as simple as identifying non-magicals taking out a vendetta against the seemingly unprotected witches outside the Coven? Right?
5. Witch-Mage Breaking - Thea is preparing to talk to the Coven about being the liaison with AID.
When a snake changer attacks the Estate while she is waiting, she has to fight it alone.
Then Brandon has to save his fellow council members after a demon tree attacks their meeting.
When a fanged serpent tries to devour Thea’s aunt Giselle, Thea has to determine who is behind the attacks. Is it one entity or many?
Worse, will it always be Jax who gives Thea a ride home?
When Thea discovers that some of the younger witches are being manipulated, she throws all of her power into the fight to save the Coven.
Will the backlash drain her?
6. Witch-Mage Ascending - Jax and Brandon are on the hunt for a rogue caster and find a room full of dead young men—and Marie Laveau’s ghost.
Thea is having a different problem. Someone is banging on the bathroom door, demanding that she come out and explain herself.
Can she never get a moment of peace?
When a magical leech tries to crawl up his nose, Brandon smacks his head on the sink and knocks himself out. Marie Laveau makes another appearance as he comes to and demands his help.
