KATHY cute pic of that little kookaburra. the cooler weather is nice pity i have been too unwell to enjoy any of it. I am feeling a bit better today hoping a few more days will see me clear of this obviously it will be just in time when i see the doctor that no symptoms will remain and what i have endured will be another thing in my book of health mysteries. I am cat napping most of the day on and off and keeping up the pain relief.
PJ what a cutie kooka he has grown;-) I wish Rishi a good Dr visit and hope all is well for her i know how you worry for her. let us know how it all goes. You may want to set up a coffee or lemonade stand out there you could make a nice penny or two with all those tourists;-) are there parking limits in the street? you could make a penny or two off of offering parking in your drive way.

Hi Pj how is rishi doing You know matina may have a good idea set up a lavazza coffee stand for the tourists say 3 bucks a cup still cheaper than the cafes we bought coffee on the way home yesterday talk about shrinkflation large latte 7$ was the size of a medium cup the Cafe guy swore they were large yeah he saw us coming matina are feeling ok today Not going anywhere today kids finished school early for Easter well my granddaughter has the teenager is cooking Easter treats in class the stomach wins

matina, so glad you're feeling better. I had the specialist pharmacist visit me just now (sent by my GP) who went over all my many medications to make sure that there were no conflicts. She also checked my vitamins. Good news was . . . all was well. No changes need to be made. Sunnya popped in to see her, which was nice. (Rishi went underneath the stairs.)

Katy, I'll have to consider setting up my cappuccino machine at the end of the driveway! Photo shows one of the new signs . . . this one right across the street from my house. Rishi is back on a full dose of steroids and immediately is acting a lot better. She has to put on more weight. But she seems to be eating well. I give her lots of her favourites every day.

Must now go over to Katoomba and fill up with petrol because I have to drive down and see my specialist in Penrith tomorrow morning. I don't want to have to worry about that en route. No longer enjoy driving the M4 for nearly an hour!

PJ glad to hear sunnya made an appearance to your pharmacist visit glad nothing was worth altering as in nothing you were taking was contra-indicative. hmmm worth the thought of coffee stall /lemonade stall kathys hubby can make cupcakes lol sad to hear rishi was scared and hid under the stairs poor darling.
KATHY ahhhh!! yes Easter treats yummy who can say no? post pictures if they can last that long lol
feeling better but still getting a few stabs so seeing G.P tomorrow hoping he says its ok for flu shot if not i will have to wait.

matina, hope you're completely fixed up soon. So glad to hear that you're feeling better. Vet rang me this afternoon with preliminary results of Rishi's comprehensive blood test. No diabetes has showed up and her kidneys are good. But her anaemia is back and she now has to take two pills per day. But I've already noticed quite a difference in her since she went on the higher dose of steroid yesterday. She really needs to put on some more weight. But I'm relieved that nothing else came up in the tests. Off to Penrith tomorrow morning to see my surgeon. Ought to be an easy appointment with no dramas.

Pj good news for our little rishi is anaemia a problem in persians Atleast no diabetes and her kidneys are ok so the steroid isn't hurting her she's in good loving hands lots of her favourite treats will get some weight on soon Good luck with the drs you've done well

matina and Katy, back from my late morning trip down to Penrith and I've also had a nap. After 3 plus weeks, all looks good to my surgeon. He says it will take 8 weeks to heal completely. But I feel pretty good. Rishi is sitting in the sun on the window sill and is acting well. Hoping she'll put on lots of weight now. Trust you're both well. More later.

PJ good news on rishi you better stock up on her favourite treats she is going to enjoy this so much daddy pampering her. Good news for you too on your recovery progress i hope it continues i wish it was speedier for you being sick is no fun at all ;-(
KATHY oh well at least you guys got the lunch box back lol;-) as i was going to the drs i was feeling down and out but low and behold in front of me a car turns onto the road going to the drs and the number plate read KATY18 I laughed so loud i nearly peed myself and nearly missed the turn off to the drs. bless you your everywhere when i need you I hope your back has recovered from the Easter service you went to sitting on those horrible wooden chairs i guess that's a whole other level of penance in itself.
well i have had a busy day so i am going off to rest again and it is time for more pain medication.

Matina i knew you'd spot me on the road you never know where I'll be im glad you had a laugh though after a shit week peeling prawns for lunch with the kids today just have to keep fingers from eating what I peel of course the boy wants steak on Good Friday

matina, hope you're continuing to improve today . . . Good Friday. I'm a bit dehydrated and just had a glass of hydralyte, which has already helped. Light-headed. Rishi is sitting next to me, by the window sill, watching cockatoos and seeming much better. She goes in for another quickie blood test on Tuesday afternoon. Second talk with her vet was promising . . . still no sign of diabetes or kidney problems on the comprehensive blood test. Sat out in the backyard while the hydralyte kicked in. Am confident that I'll keep improving.

Katy, saw many trees turning red along the road in Wentworth Falls when I drove in to see my surgeon. Other trees starting to turn as well. Will have some beautiful autumn photos in due course. Down below ten degrees most nights now, and low 20s during the day. A great time of year. No sign of more 'Grand Clifftop Walk' bushwalkers so far. They'll soon have the little improvised footpath finished. White markings on the edge of my street show where it will go. Hope you're enjoying family on this Easter weekend!

Katy, 19 degrees up here and sunny. Blue skies. Perfect autumn day. Rishi has been sitting in my lap and is now back on the window sill. Visitors yesterday and now a quiet day planned. I must remember to take photos of some of my biggest crystals and post them here for you to show to your granddaughter. The largest I couldn't lift any longer. It has to stay where it is!
