Has Solidfiles shut down or something? I can't even connect to the site every time I try so I was wondering. Didn't see any news about it on my search..

On and off. They went down, then they came back up, then down again. Their links have become a hit and miss affair.

Drop.download has been added back. Refresh both your filehosts.xml and your browser to see the blue arrows, Ctrl+R or Ctrl+Shift+R in Windows and Linux, Command+R for Mac.

So A LOT of links are expired on this site, and then the rules to ask for new links are limited to 1 to few request a day.
Can Links be uploaded to sites where they stay active longer than a few months or a year AND sites that do not require you to jump through hoops to download a book.
Thank you

The rules to ask for new links are limited to 1 a day from the same poster, yes. And we appreciate very much that our members respect this rule and the hard work of uploaders, understanding that each one of the persons requesting is just one among the many who request every single day.
Sites where the links stay active longer is every poster's dream, please go ahead and mention a few so we can all benefit!
And in the meantime, please read this topic from 2019, when we were already overwhelmed with requests due to the damage caused by filehosts shutting down (more than a dozen filehosts have closed since I wrote that topic): http://forum.mobilism.org/viewtopic.php?p=6879026#6879026

I would like to make a request for more hosting sites. With so many sites recently removed, I now have only 2 sites available to me where I can upload. But I need 3 sites for ebooks release. Hence, I am unable to release any new ebooks.

It's not quite so simple. We add filehosts only if they can be integrated into our Premium Downloader, and if we're able to reach an agreement with the owner of the filehost. We can't just add any filehost we like.

The site (Closed Filehost) http://skyve.io has been added to the list of supported filehosts. Refresh both your filehosts.xml and your browser to see the blue arrows: Ctrl+R or Ctrl+Shift+R in Windows and Linux, Command+R for Mac.
Edit (Feb 19): on hold until the issue with skyve is fixed.

Learning about the terms and conditions of each filehost cannot be the site's responsibility but the uploader's, sorry about that.
