My father just switched to the S2,
he knows nothing about phones so I need to find something...

Are there any apps that allow to sync Contacts, mails, address books and so on with the Android?

I use Companion Link ver. 5. The thing I like about it is that it synchs with outlook and most external devices; android, IOS and Windows Phone. There is a free 14 day trial version to check it out. Once it's setup, one button does the trick.

I downloaded that today. Having trouble getting it work even with downloading there adb drivers. keeps saying something about the server out of date.

Another vote for TouchDown here. I've used it for 2 years and set it up on multiple devices. I set it up on my friends S2 also and it works like a charm.
