I'm giving it a go with an Eten G500, which is said to be capable of using the usb host, same as the Eten M600... according to this:
http://eten-users.eu/index.php?showtopic=12233&hl=
As you can read in the linked discussion thread, a mouse driver is also available... but I've only tried usb mass storage devices... an mp3 player (which would only light-up when connected to my device, but wouldn't be recognized by the device... and I've just tried your driver with a Kingston 2GB pendrive, which wasn't recognized. Sadly I don't have any other usb devices to try.
I have a PETU-2 cable to connect to my device's usb port:

I'll try again soon with those ratoc drivers.

Cheers.

Hm... I tried it with a 2gp Memorex flash and a MSI card reader with Memory Stick Pro Duo in it. Both didn't work or light up, but the problem might be in my Xperia. I'll try it with something else soon and post.

"the USB port won't provide 5v/500mA to power the external peripheral."

I took this from a thread about SE Xperia. So.... no powered USB port = no USB host?

I always tested it with powersupply incoupled for: HDD(even if HDD self was powered separated), keyboard, mouse, external DVD-RW.
I tested even without powersupply for FlashMemory.

Until now, only 4 and 8 GB Flash worked without powersupply on my Loox.
All other peripherals demanded that Loox be powered, otherwise not working.
Only HDD and DVD-RW which had their own external powersupply worked with Loox self-powered(without Loox own powersupply adapter)

For HDD, Memory Flash or CardReader, you can see in Explorer(Resco Explorer or WM Explorer) the new unit labeled as "Hard Disk".

For keyboard, you don't see , but in any program using the device own keyboard (Touch Screen or slide - HTC Touch Pro), you can just type on external USB keyboard.

For mouse you see a yellow-green mouse cursor on screen which follows the external mouse movements.

For DVD I see : "External Mass Storage"

Important! Soft-reset your device after install, I did not include a forced soft-reset.

Scorpio_cz wrote:Zeno, did you try this mouse driver : http://www.modaco.com/content/athena-at ... se-driver/ ?
It supports scrolling mouses, and seems work OK on HP iPAQ 214 (WM6 VGA) PDA.

The original mouse driver is written by a japanese.
The so-called "athena-test-mouse-driver" is just a CABbed version of the original exe +htm.
My driver is also based on this one and integrated with the other drivers.
I tested few scroll-mouses from Microsoft but did not worked properly.
That is why I wrote that scroll is not guaranteed.

Zeno i tried your driver pack on my friends winmo device and it works perfectly! You got his thanks :). I can't use it on my SE Xperia, because it doesn't have a powered mini USB.

My question is, do you know of a device that gives power to the mini USB. Some kind of device that stands between the mini USB and the flash drive for example?
